Polycrystalline Alumina Fiber Blanket is manufactured using the “Sol-Gel” colloidal method to be a micro-crystalline mullite-based high temperature refractory fiber, by a high temperature calcination process. It is made from alumina fiber with double punching and it doesn´t contains additives or other ingredients.
Features:
l Excellent stability at high temperature.
l Slight contraction due to heating.
l Low shot content, remarkable insulating and refractory performance.
l Good thermal reflection capacity.
l Low heat storage, low thermal conductivity.
l Uniform distribution of the diameter of the fiber, high tensile strength.
l Good flexibility at high temperatures, excellent thermal shock and mechanical vibration resistance.
l Chemical stability, high resistance to corrosion.
Application:
l Furnace hot face lining in high-temperature industries
l Backup insulation
l Burner block warps
l Expansion joints
l Gaskets in furnaces
